My Story

My Story Gerard has been obsessed by 2 wheels since childhood, in his teens he worked and maintained his bicycles and at the age of 17 bought his first motorcycle and has been riding motorcycles since. At the age of 18 he got an apprenticeship with Norton Motorcycles Ltd. in England where he earned his IMI Level 2 Motorcycle Maintenance and Repair. Whilst working at Norton he learned many new skills such as linishing, polishing, fabrication, spray painting and etc. When he finished his apprenticeship he had an engineering job at a rota-moulding factory followed by a mattress factory. Gerard then decided to return to Northern Ireland in early 2018 with the intention of setting up his own workshop, and worked various jobs to raise the funds. He is currently doing his IMI Level 3 Motorcycle Maintenance and Repair, and is working on his first project bike, a 1983 Honda CD200. Gerard has come runner up in the Derry and Strabane 10k Start Up Challange and has been shortlisted as Young Business Person Of The Year for the 2019 North West Business Awards.
